The rain picks up around April and the spring begins to bloom. The hemisphere begins to warm significantly causing new plant growth to “spring forth,” giving the season its name. Spring warms slowly, almost like it’s awakening from a deep slumber. As we begin to enter spring we notice everything looks dead and lifeless.Įverything is colorless and cold. Spring is one of the four temperate seasons the transition period between winter and summer. The best time to start looking for the colors of autumn are late September to early October. Some of the trees to look for during autumn are oaks, maples, beeches, sweet gums, yellow-poplars, dogwoods, and many others. The color change in leaves occurs whenever deciduous trees are found, colored autumn foliage most famously noted in three regions of the world: most of Canada and the United States, Eastern Asia, and Europe. You can find these autumn colors in parks, woodlands, the countryside, and mountains. As the days shorten and the temperatures become crisp, the quiet green palette of summer is transformed into the vivid autumn palette of reds, oranges, golds, and browns before the leaves fall off the trees. I love to eat turkey and go shopping with my family, therefore Thanksgiving is also a favorite. Halloween is one of my favorite Holidays. I love to watch people bob for apples and I like caramel and candy apples. I love to dress up and go Trick-or-Treating with my family and friends. Two of my favorites are Halloween and Thanksgiving. Autumn has many holidays, such as Labor Day, Grand Parents Day, Patriot Day, Columbus Day, Halloween, Election Day, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving. Autumn season is related with harvest and in some cultures they celebrate the harvest. As the nights become longer the air starts its descent into cooler temperatures. As we transcend into the season, the rain tends to be less frequent. As the heat of summer starts to turn cooler we find ourselves beginning the beautiful season of autumn. Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter.Īutumn typically starts in August and runs thru October. Autumn is one of the four temperate seasons. Spring is the giver of life and autumn takes life away. Though, autumn and spring are similar seasons, they have many drastic differences such as climate, holidays, and changes in appearance. The plants and trees begin to wither in autumn as the days grow longer and cooler. During spring everyday something new is born from a beautiful flower to a buzzing bee. There are also distinctions which allow each season to stand out on its own. There is exquisite beauty in the seasons of autumn and spring.
